World Cup Group F Review

In Group hold four teams that never have won the World Cup; however, they have some of the world's best players in this Group. The four teams are Belgium, Croatia, Canada, and Morocco. The stand-out team in Belgium with their golden Generation.

Belgium

Belgium, in recent history, has had the best world cups they ever have had. They finished third in the last world cup, narrowly missing out on the World Cup final. So, can they go all the way this year? They are coming to the end of their golden Generation. One of their best players and playmakers is Kevin De Bruyne, and he is their best option to push them further in this competition. However, they have a very good team around them and are likely to go far in this competition. Their manager is Roberto Martinez, a well-experienced manager for Belgium, so he will hopefully push Belgium as far as he did in 2018.

The Pitchsider's view is that Belgium will top this Group and win at least two games. Their biggest rival will be Croatia which could rival them for the top spot. However, Belgium will win this Group and progress to the quarterfinals.

Croatia

Croatia came the closest they ever had in the 2018 World Cup, the last World Cup runners-up, losing to France in the previous finals. However, before this, Croatia struggled to get out of the group stage in the last four world cups before 2018. However, this is a team full of talent, and their key man will be Luke Modric. The 37-year-old will be a crucial man for them, run their midfield, and be the beating heart of their World Cup push. They will want to go one better than last time and hope to win this year's World Cup. The biggest test will be Belgium in this Group.

The pitchsiders view is that they will finish second in this Group and give Belgium a run for its money. They should be able to win the two other games, but they will lose to Belgium and finish second. This time they will go to the round of 16 or the quarterfinals.

Canada

Canada doesn't have a very decorated history at the World Cup like some other nations. At their first World Cup in 1986, they went out in the group stages, having lost all three of their games. However, Canada's place at the next tournament in 2026 is already secure as they will be co-hosts along with Mexico and the United States. One of their key players is the right-back Alphonso Davies being very good down the wing and able to supply their forward, Jonathan David. Could this be one of the partnerships that led Canada out of the Group?

The Pitchsiders View is that they will finish third in this Group. They don’t have the team and quality to compete with Belgium or Croatia. However, they could finish third in the Group with a win over Morocco.

Morocco

Morocco went out in the group stages of their first World Cup in 1970 before reaching the round of 16 in 1986. They could not get out of the Group in 1994, 1998 and 2018 but will be determined to do so on this occasion. However, with players like Ziyech back in the squad, they can stand a chance to compete with big teams like Belgium and Croatia.

The Pitchisder View is that they will not be able to get out of the Group. Even now, they have a few good players who don’t have the same quality as Belgium or Croatia. However, they will be able to compete for third with Canada as they look like fairly matched teams. However, this time I think Canada will be able to edge passed them.

Conclusion

Overall, this could be a very good group, with Belgium and Croatia wanting to go far in this world cup. Both teams are likely to get to the quarterfinals. However, Canada and Morocco need the teams to be able to compete, but they could get a bit of luck and win a few games to get through. So, it's going to be a good watch.
